Samaria King
“Life is about creating and living experiences that are worth sharing” this quote by Steve Jobs epitomizes the artistry and life of Samaria King simply known as Samaria. Her musical journey began to fill a gap in her life which she said, nothing else could. This journey has exploded into a myriad of creative expression. Samaria is a dancer, director and creator of content for social media and a beach enthusiast. Her music is heavily influenced by people and culture and a desire to tell the stories of everyday life. Samria’s music is also influenced by artists such as Krisire, Kiana Lede, Brandy, Chronixx, Billie Eilish, 6lack, Jessie J and Chloe x Halle. As Samaria’s musical idol, Beyonce’s vocal technique, discipline, dedication is inspiring. For Samaria a lot of the dreams Beyonce has and (her) accomplishments aligns with what Samaria wants to achieve. Samaria focuses her music on what people need to hear, not on what she thinks they want to hear and sings to those who can ‘vibe’ with what she performs.
Currently Samaria is working on her first single to be released very soon. She is excited because this creates the opportunity for her to finally give a piece of herself to her supporters. Through her work, Samaria says she wants “to be known as one of the greatest performers’’. For Samaria, it is all about the live visual experience of the music, creating a story through movement, visuals and musical production”.
