Who is Sade?
Sade is a young impressionistic colorist based in the island of Barbados whose art is the mirror image of her personality. “Every knife/brush stroke depicts fragments” of her emotions within the present moment of the creative process.” According to Sade “the world is is full of constant chaos. Sometimes one just needs a safe haven to escape, to relax and most of all, just breathe.
The ocean provides her with freedom of expression, the confidence to be intriguingly bold and most of all to be limitless. For Sade, the ocean daily offers new subjects to explore and experience such as the great white shark whom she likens herself to and greatly admires.
No surprise therefore that her inspiration is derived from the textures and patterns of the sea. She considers her work as a way of transforming fantasies into reality and is passionate about creating a visual and virtual experience of what her audience “envisions a particular subject or encounter to be like within the moment.”
Everything for Sade is within the moment, from when she begins to work to the colours used to create bold and beautiful statements. Presently, Sade prefers to use acrylics on canvas as canvas allows her to be flexible and intentional in her artistic expression.
